On a summer day in 1983, a young man named Michael Allan Milavanov was enjoying a canoeing trip with his father on Kingsmere Lake, near Waskesiu in Saskatchewan. The water on the lake turned rough, and in a tragic turn of events, their canoe overturned. While his father was able to survive the capsizing, the vast and turbulent waters of the lake unfortunately claimed Michael. He was sixteen years old at the time of this devastating accident.
