In the winter of 2006, a 46-year-old woman named Michelle Louise Mercer vanished from the streets of Edmonton, Alberta. She was last seen on February 9, 2006, in the vicinity of 105 Street and 69 Avenue, reportedly after a dispute with her boyfriend. At the time of her disappearance, Michelle was a familiar presence in the Strathcona and Whyte Avenue neighborhoods.
