On a cold evening, January 21, 2018, 39-year-old Sonya Rae Manning was seen for the last time leaving her home in Buffalo, New York. The alarm was raised when, a few days following her departure, her car was discovered abandoned at Niagara Falls Park. The vehicle was covered in snow, and inside, investigators located her purse and cell phone, but there was no trace of Sonya herself. Her family expressed extreme worry after not hearing from her for nearly a week.
