Michael Martinez, a 53-year-old real estate agent from Los Angeles, was last seen on November 17, 2009. On that day, his 27-foot Sea Ray cruiser, named *Casey Lynn*, was found adrift and burning about two to three miles offshore in Santa Monica Bay, near Venice Pier. The fire was visible from miles away, and authorities were able to extinguish it and bring the boat ashore. However, no bodies were found on board, and Michael has not been heard from since.
