In the summer of 2005, a young man named Peter Elsid Limberis, then 26 years old, made preparations to leave his home in Trail, British Columbia. On July 20, he was seen for the last time, embarking on a journey to Saskatchewan. He had packed up his belongings and was driving a white 2003 Saturn Vue with Saskatchewan license plate 850ENA. Accompanying him on this trip was his dog, a white and brown smooth-haired Fox Terrier named Pedro. Peter had told friends at Gyro Park that he was heading to Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, with the intention of spending the winter there. At the time of his departure, he was described as being 5'10" and weighing 170 lbs, with short brown hair and green eyes. He had a tattoo of a jailhouse noose on his upper left arm. He was reportedly wearing a white baseball hat, silver track pants, and a silver shirt or jersey, along with hoop earrings, a stainless steel watch, and a stainless steel chain. Peter, who was also known by the nicknames "Styles," "Pistol Pete," and "Pedro Lambert," had moved to Trail from the Lower Mainland less than a year before he vanished and had purchased a house on Daniel Street. His family grew concerned when their regular weekly phone calls from him ceased. A little over a month after he was last seen, his mother reported him missing. The investigation that followed revealed that while Peter was not known to police at the time of his disappearance, he reportedly did not have a legitimate job and had connections to the drug world. Despite this, he was known to be close with his family and maintained frequent contact with them before he disappeared, making his sudden silence highly uncharacteristic. The Trail District RCMP has investigated Peter's disappearance, but the case has been met with few leads and little evidence, leaving his whereabouts a mystery. Although there is no direct evidence of foul play, the circumstances surrounding his disappearance have led investigators to believe it is a strong possibility. The fact that he seemed to have vanished without a trace, along with his packed vehicle and beloved dog, has been deeply troubling to both his family and the authorities. The four-year silence that followed his last sighting made the possibility of him having gone into hiding seem unlikely. The case remains open and is an active investigation, with law enforcement still hoping for information from the public that could provide answers to the simple yet crucial questions of what happened to Peter Elsid Limberis and where he might be.
