On February 2, 1992, Richard Liboiron was seen for the last time as he left a hotel in Gatineau, Quebec. Richard and a friend departed from the hotel on a snowmobile heading in the direction towards Ottawa. The two crossed the Ottawa River and did not make it to the shore.
