On the evening of February 14, 2007, a 23-year-old man named Philippe Lajoie disappeared from the Lanaudière region of Québec. He was last seen at approximately 6 p.m. leaving his parents' home in Saint-Didace. His destination was a pig farm he co-owned with his brother, located on Petite-Rivière Nord road in Yamachiche, about a 40-kilometer drive away. Concern grew when he did not return home.
