On October 9, 1959, Martin Kenny and his cousin rode an Algoma Central Railway freight train from Sault Ste. Marie to Hawk Junction, Ontario, to visit his parents. The train came to a stop in Eton at Mile 120, leaving the train car they were riding in behind. Martin failed to reboard the train and was left behind. Martin was last seen in Perry, Ontario, on October 10, 1959. He stopped for water before walking north along the railroad tracks. He was never seen again.
