On June 18, 2012, at 4:30 p.m., the Regina Police Service received a call from Floyd Kakakaway. He told them that his brother Frederick (Fred) Kakakaway was missing. Floyd stated that he had last seen Fred early on June 14, 2012, at 6 a.m. Fred had told Floyd that he was heading to the Regent Park Safeway to look for recyclable cans. He has so far failed to return home and there has been no trace of him since that time. Fred is diabetic.
