In the winter of 2003, a young Inuk mother named Pamela Jayne Holopainen, 22 years old, vanished from Timmins, Ontario. On the evening of Saturday, December 13th, she and her common-law spouse, Chris Manchester, attended a house party, having arranged for a babysitter for their two young sons. In the early morning hours of Sunday, December 14th, 2003, a public argument was witnessed between Holopainen and Manchester at the party.
