Lesley Holmes was reported missing by her common law husband on December 23, 2005 after not having contact with her since November 23, 2005. They had been living in a basement apartment in Toronto, the home of a friend. Lesley did not feel comfortable staying there without her common law who was away, so she moved out. She was believed to have spent some time in a shelter but this could not be confirmed by the shelter. Her family has not seen or heard from her since that time.
