Inside, the house was quiet, with the television playing and lights left on. Lois's car was parked in its usual spot in the driveway. The clothes she had worn to the dance the previous night were neatly put away. Her purse and keys were also found inside the home, items her family insists she would never have willingly left behind. On the kitchen counter sat a freshly made, half-finished cup of tea. The only items believed to be missing from the home were a peach-colored nightgown and a matching robe. This suggested that Lois had made it home safely and was likely settling in for the night when she vanished. The most significant and ominous clue discovered by investigators was two small drops of male blood found on a wall near the side door.
