On June 4, 2012, the Banff RCMP were contacted by a tour company to report that Duc Dao and his son, Nguyen Dao of Vietnam did not arrive to board their bus at the scheduled time. The two men had been staying at the Banff International Hotel and there were no personal items left in their room. The two men were due to fly back to Vietnam two days later. However, they did not board their scheduled flight and it is unknown if they returned to Vietnam.
