In the fall of 2022, a sense of concern grew for 50-year-old Kirk Allan Boucher, a member of Shoal Lake First Nation in northwestern Ontario. His loved ones last had contact with him in October of that year, and the days that followed stretched into an agonizing silence. There are some discrepancies in the exact date he was last seen; an initial police alert mentioned October 11, 2022, while other records, including Canada's Missing, point to October 15, 2022.
