In the spring of 2023, a family's life was irrevocably altered when 41-year-old Barry Edward Bedard, a man known by the nickname 'Bear,' vanished without a trace from Edmonton, Alberta. He was last seen on May 2, 2023, in the vicinity of 118 Avenue and 50 Street. His disappearance was officially reported to the Edmonton Police Service on May 20 of that year, as the lack of contact was deeply out of character and raised immediate concern among his loved ones.
