In the late hours of an autumn evening in London, Ontario, a 26-year-old man named Trevor John Andrews departed from a friend's home. It was October 28, 2009, at about 11:30 p.m., in the residential neighborhood of Oakville Avenue and Tilipe Road. Trevor, a sociable and energetic father, intended to catch the No. 21 Huron Heights bus to return to the apartment he shared with his father. That was the last time he was seen. His family reported him missing on November 1, 2009, after he failed to make contact, which was highly uncharacteristic for him. Even when he would leave for a couple of days, he was known to always call home, but this time, the calls stopped, and his bank account fell silent. Trevor is described as a Caucasian male, standing between 5'10" and 6 feet tall, with a weight of about 170 to 180 pounds. He had short, light brown hair, green eyes, and a distinct, faded red birthmark on his left cheek. When he vanished, he was likely wearing a white hooded sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, and white Reebok running shoes with black trim. It's also believed he may have been carrying a yellow "No Frills" shopping bag with some beer inside. His disappearance was particularly alarming to his family because he had been looking forward to a promising future; he had an appointment with London Housing to secure his own apartment just two days after he was last seen, an appointment he never made it to. His father's concern grew upon finding his son's backpack at home, something Trevor reportedly never went anywhere for long without. The days following Trevor's disappearance turned into an agonizing wait for his loved ones. A police appeal for public information was issued more than ten days after he was last seen, a delay that concerned his family. Police and community members conducted searches in the area he was last seen, and his family organized their own search efforts, but no trace of him was found. His absence has left a profound void, especially for his young son, who was left to grow up without his father. The investigation into Trevor Andrews's disappearance remains an open and active case. His family continues to hold out hope for answers, waiting for the day they will learn what happened to him after he walked out into the night to catch a bus that may or may not have ever taken him home.
