In the early summer of 2026, concern grew for a 14-year-old boy from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, named Demonte Stergis. On June 9, 2026, the teen was last seen, prompting his family and local authorities to seek public assistance in locating him. At the time of his disappearance, Demonte was described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing around 100 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
