Anthony Dean Richards, a 34-year-old man from Redding, California, was last seen on August 19, 2020. He had dropped his fiancée and child off at Sacramento International Airport, as they were moving to New York City, with plans for him to join them within a few days. After leaving the airport, he returned to Redding and was expected to meet his brother for a fishing trip before making his cross-country move. However, he never arrived at the planned fishing trip, and concerningly, he also failed to pick up his final paycheck from his job at the Woodside Grill.
Several days after his disappearance, Richards' vehicle was discovered by a family member at Lake Redding Park, near a boat ramp. The vehicle was locked, and food inside suggested it may have been recently placed there. Despite searches, no signs of Anthony were found in the surrounding area. His case has been classified as suspicious, and authorities continue to investigate.
The circumstances surrounding Richards' disappearance remain unclear, with no major breakthroughs since his car was found. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Redding Police Department.
