In the late summer of 2020, concern began to grow for the well-being of Walter Wilson Akers, a 45-year-old man from Macon, Georgia. His family had not heard from him since August 19, 2020, a silence that was deeply troubling. Walter is described as a white male with blond or strawberry-blond hair and blue eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he stood between 6 feet 1 inch and 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed between 170 and 175 pounds.
