In the winter of 2026, concern grew in Polk County, Florida, for a missing teenager. On January 22, 2026, 16-year-old David Howell was last seen in the Dietz Road area of Bartow. At the time of his disappearance, he was described as being 6 feet tall and weighing 140 pounds. When he was last seen, David was wearing a distinctive outfit consisting of a camouflage hoodie, gray sweatpants, and black Crocs.
