In early 2026, a community in Hawaii became concerned for the well-being of a young girl named Journey Barcai. At twelve years old, Journey was a resident of Wailuku on the island of Maui. A report was made to the Maui Police Department by a concerned acquaintance on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, after Journey went missing.
