His last known activity was a Facebook Live video he broadcasted, featuring his two white pit bulls, Athena and Aspen. Originally from Belmont County, Ohio, specifically the Saint Clairsville and Martins Ferry areas, David was known to live a transient or 'drifter' lifestyle. For much of his adult life, he had been homeless. He frequently used his middle name, Eric.
David was a man who traveled extensively, often frequenting areas such as Nashville, Tennessee, as well as the states of New York, Texas, and Florida. Despite his travels, he would often return to his roots in Belmont County, Ohio. Lacking a vehicle of his own, David's primary modes of transportation were walking and hitchhiking, often catching rides with semi-truck drivers to get to his destinations. Before his last contact, he had mentioned to friends his dislike for the cold northern weather and his intention to possibly head west.
David is described as a white male, standing at 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing between 230 and 300 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes. A number of distinctive tattoos serve as identifying marks. These include a tattoo on his neck of the letter 'J' with the word 'Loyalty' above it, a large red and white Koi fish with a red number 7 below it on his leg, and a spider tattooed on his left ankle. The Belmont County Sheriff's Office is investigating his disappearance.
