Authorities in San Francisco are seeking public assistance in the case of a missing teenager, Maryeli Rivera, who was 14 years old when she was last seen on July 28, 2025. Rivera disappeared from her home in the 400 block of Potrero Avenue at approximately 7:00 p.m. Another report mentioned she was last seen near Potrero and 16th streets. The San Francisco Police Department responded to a report of a missing juvenile at that location at about 7:10 p.m. the same evening.

Maryeli Rivera is described as a Hispanic female with black hair and black eyes. She stands at approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. At the time of her disappearance, she was wearing a black crop top t-shirt and red pants. Rivera is known to frequent the Third Street corridor in the city's Bayview District.

A doctor at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital, who identifies Rivera as one of the clinic's patients, has also appealed for help in locating her. According to the doctor, Rivera had graduated from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Academic Middle School in May 2025 and was enrolled as a freshman at Wallenberg High School, though she had not yet attended. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has assigned case number 2059200 to her disappearance.
