In a distressing turn of events, 12-year-old Forever Scott was reported missing from Portsmouth, Virginia. On the morning of Sunday, January 18, 2026, Forever, along with two other residents, 14-year-old Joseline Krofec and 16-year-old Darsha McAllister, vanished from the Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center. The three girls were seen leaving a residence at approximately 7:30 a.m. Due to her young age, authorities considered Forever to be endangered, amplifying the urgency of the search. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as a Black female, 5-foot-2 inches tall, weighing about 129 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair styled in two cornrows. She was last seen wearing a Jordan brand shirt and navy blue pants. The disappearance of the three girls prompted a significant response from law enforcement. The Portsmouth Police Department's Special Victims Unit took the lead in the investigation. In an effort to locate the missing children, Virginia State Police issued CODI Alerts for all three girls. The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children also shared an alert, noting that Forever might be in the company of the two other missing juveniles. The CEO of the Harbor Point Behavioral Health Center confirmed that the three were residents who had left the facility without authorization and stated that the center immediately informed law enforcement and the girls' guardians, cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation. Fortunately, the search for the missing girls concluded with their safe recovery. Reports confirmed that Forever Scott and Joseline Krofec had been found safe. Shortly thereafter, the third missing teen, Darsha McAllister, was also located, bringing the search to a positive end. The CODI Alert that had been issued was subsequently canceled. While authorities expressed their gratitude to the public and partner agencies for their assistance in the search, further details regarding the circumstances of their disappearance and where they were found were not publicly released. This case highlights the vulnerability of young individuals and the critical importance of a swift and coordinated response when a child goes missing.
