In the winter of 1985, 38-year-old Candace Jay Beckman-Wright disappeared from Green Bay, Wisconsin, leaving behind a life that was, by many accounts, complex and challenging. She was last seen on the far west side of the city on December 29, 1985. Candace was a mother and was described as a petite woman, standing 5'3" and weighing around 100 pounds, with brown hair and green eyes.
