Amber Wilde, a 19-year-old University of Wisconsin-Green Bay student, went missing on September 23, 1998. She had recently transferred to the university and was four months pregnant at the time of her disappearance. The day she was last seen, Amber had been involved in a minor car accident, hitting her head on the windshield. Although she only reported a headache, her family and friends became concerned when she missed several important appointments the next day.
