In the summer of 2016, a family's life was forever altered when 19-year-old Davik LeVrai Brendan Ross vanished from his home in Suffolk, Virginia. On the evening of July 5th, at approximately 9:40 p.m., Davik was last seen leaving the residence he shared with his mother in the 1000 block of Silver Charm Circle. He was dressed in a blue sweatshirt, a white t-shirt, navy blue sweatpants, red and black shoes, and a black hat, and he was carrying a backpack. Davik, a recent graduate of Nansemond River High School just the month prior, was at a transitional phase in his life, exploring job opportunities and further education. Davik was known as a quiet individual who enjoyed writing, working out, and playing video games. He was one of three siblings and had family in Canada. His father is deceased. Compounding the concern for his abrupt disappearance was the fact that Davik lived with a mental health condition that required medication, which his family reported he was resistant to taking. This led to fears that he could be a danger to himself and in need of medical attention. His departure was highly uncharacteristic, as he was not known to leave without informing his loved ones. The days turned into weeks, and the weeks into years, with no word from Davik. His family's concern grew with each passing moment, as the quiet young man who was just beginning to map out his future had seemingly disappeared without a trace. The circumstances surrounding his disappearance remain a painful mystery for his family and community. The case is an overview of a young man on the cusp of adulthood, facing personal challenges, who walked out of his home one evening and has not been heard from since. His case remains unsolved.
