In the late afternoon of Friday, June 30, 2017, 81-year-old Clayton Ray Baird was at his home in Pennington Gap, a small town in Lee County, Virginia. It was around 1:30 p.m. that he was last seen, and what should have been an ordinary day soon turned into a distressing mystery when he vanished from his residence.
