Jesse Albert Garcia Jr., a 38-year-old resident of Pleasanton, Texas, has been missing since June 26, 2023. He was last seen at a park on Haven Drive in Corpus Christi, Texas. Garcia, an avid and regular fisherman, had informed his family that he was embarking on a fishing trip to the Corpus Christi/Robstown area with two friends. His family, however, is unaware of his specific fishing destination or the identity of the friends who were to accompany him.
A father of two, Garcia was known for his consistent communication with his loved ones. His family has stated that he would typically call them every day and promptly reply to text messages whenever he was away from home. The sudden and complete cessation of this communication following his departure on June 26, 2023, was highly uncharacteristic and raised immediate concern. Subsequent attempts to contact him were unsuccessful as his phone number was no longer in service, and his social media pages had been deactivated. He was officially reported missing on July 12, 2023.
Garcia's vehicle, a silver 2006 Nissan Frontier pickup truck, is also missing. The truck has a Texas license plate number of JYL-9558 and is distinguished by a unique sticker on the back window depicting a pig with wings and a red hat. There were unconfirmed reports of his truck being sighted parked alongside a highway near Robstown on June 27, but the vehicle was gone by the time authorities arrived. Garcia's family fears for his safety, with his sister noting his trusting nature and expressing concern that he may have "trusted the wrong person."
