On August 25, 1999, one-year-old Iman Hisham Abass A. Almetnawy and her four-year-old brother, Yousef, were abducted by their mother, Ghada Abdel Fattah Said, from their home in Euless, Texas. At the time of the abduction, Ghada had custody of her children, but by leaving with them, she violated the visitation rights of their father, Hirsham Almetnawy.
