Adolfo Santo Agramonte, a 31-year-old man from the Dominican Republic, was last seen on June 20, 2005, in a desolate desert region near McAllen, Texas. Agramonte had a history of attempting to enter the United States; he was first deported in 1997 and was caught and deported a second time before his final attempt to cross into the country.
On his third attempt, Agramonte was traversing the harsh terrain of the Texas desert with the ultimate goal of reaching Florida to establish a new life. Unfortunately, he never made it to his destination and has not been seen or heard from since his last known sighting in the remote desert area.
The circumstances surrounding his disappearance suggest that he may have succumbed to the severe conditions of the desert. Agramonte had black hair and brown eyes. No further information regarding any official investigation into his disappearance is readily available. His case remains one of many individuals who have vanished while attempting to cross the U.S. border.
