In the late summer of 2022, concern began to grow for 42-year-old Gerald Luwayne Bruner, a member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma, who was last seen in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on August 10th. Known to some as Junior Bruner or Gerald Roberts, he is described as an American Indian/Alaska Native and Black/African American male, standing between 5'6" and 5'8" tall and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. His appearance is distinguished by several tattoos, including the word "Tre" on his chest, a deer head on his abdomen, a snake and the number "405" on his left arm, and the name "Ellen" with an angel on his right arm. He also has a scar on his left arm and hand. Communication from Gerald ceased after that August day, and his family grew increasingly worried as time passed without any word from him. The circumstances surrounding Gerald's disappearance are unsettling due to their vague nature. Before he went missing, he had reportedly mentioned to his family that he was planning to travel to Houston, Texas, to stay with relatives. However, his immediate family members were not aware of any connections he had in Houston, which added a layer of confusion and apprehension to his sudden silence. Unconfirmed information suggests that prior to his disappearance, he had expressed a desire to go to a lake, though no specific location was mentioned. His family officially reported him missing to the Oklahoma City Police Department on April 12, 2023. The investigation into Gerald's whereabouts has been fraught with uncertainty. While his last known location was his home in Northeast Oklahoma City, there is little information available to the public about the specific details of his movements on or after August 10, 2022. He is known to have ties to several other Oklahoma communities, including Miami, Shawnee, Wewoka, Seminole, and Holdenville, but it is unknown if he visited any of these locations before he vanished. The lack of contact and the conflicting information about his intended destination have left his loved ones and investigators with a painful and perplexing mystery. The case remains open, a quiet but constant search for answers and a hopeful wait for any news that might bring Gerald home.
