On October 8, 2024, 60-year-old Mike Louis Cole, a white male, was last seen in St. Charles, Missouri, in the area of the Katy Trail near Ameristar. Online missing-person records describe the setting as an ordinary walk that became a troubling disappearance: Cole was walking with a group on the trail when he separated from them and went into a wooded area off the trail.
