In the early hours of April 8, 2017, 20-year-old Segundo Francisco Lema Zumba, also known as Wilson Lema, vanished after a night out with friends in Minneapolis, Minnesota. After finishing his shift at a restaurant, he joined his friends at Lyon's Pub on South 16th Street. He was last seen at approximately 1:45 a.m. leaving the bar with the intention of catching the number 10 bus to his home in Columbia Heights.
However, Segundo never made it home, and his family has not heard from him since that night. The disappearance was described as highly uncharacteristic for the new husband and father of a six-month-old son.
Concern grew when Segundo did not show up for work and made no contact with his family. His personal belongings, including his money, were left behind at his home. Adding to the mystery, his cell phone and earbuds were found abandoned at the pub. Authorities were alerted, and an investigation was launched by the Columbia Heights Police Department. Investigators began reviewing surveillance footage from the bus route and the area surrounding the pub in an effort to piece together his last known movements.
At the time he went missing, Segundo was described as being 5'4" and weighing around 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray zip-up hooded sweatshirt with "Aeropostale" and the number 87 on the front, blue jeans, and white Converse Chuck Taylor shoes with a black line around the sole. He was also carrying a gray and black Hurley backpack. According to his family, Segundo had no criminal history, was not involved with drugs, and had no known enemies, leaving them with no apparent reason for his sudden disappearance.
