In the winter of 2022, a 17-year-old female named Zion Rachelle Foster vanished from Eastpointe, Michigan. She was last seen on January 4th, when her cousin, Jaylin Brazier, picked her up from her home. Foster's mother, Ciera Milton, grew concerned when her daughter, who typically shared her location and communicated regularly, failed to return home. Milton's attempts to contact her daughter were unsuccessful, and soon after, she reported her missing to the Eastpointe Police Department
