In the autumn of 2022, Richard Shifflet, a 75-year-old resident of Dayton, Nevada, disappeared after leaving his home for a walk. Mr. Shifflet, who had a history of medical issues including dementia and previous strokes, was last seen at his residence on Andrea Way. When he did not return, he was reported missing to the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, prompting an immediate and extensive response.
