Jeffrey John Schroeder, a 69-year-old man, was last seen in Bovill, Idaho, at approximately 11:00 a.m. on February 9, 2022. His disappearance is considered to be under suspicious circumstances. On the morning of his disappearance, Schroeder was seen getting into a white mid-sized pickup truck with an individual who has not been identified. He has not been seen or heard from since that time.
At the time he went missing, Schroeder was 5'10" tall and weighed around 140 pounds. He has brown hair and gray eyes. He was last seen wearing a sherpa-lined denim jacket, a dark green long-sleeved shirt, blue Levi's jeans, work boots, and a baseball cap.
The Latah County Sheriff's Office is actively investigating Schroeder's disappearance as a high-priority case. In the course of their investigation, detectives have followed up on various leads and executed multiple search warrants at properties located in Moscow and Bovill. The sheriff's office also had plans to conduct additional searches in Latah County in the spring following his disappearance. The Idaho State Police and the Moscow Police Department are assisting with the investigation.
There are few details publicly available in Schroeder's case. Friends of Schroeder in Alaska have offered a $5,000 reward for information that leads to a resolution in his case.
