Edward William Viola, a 53-year-old quality assurance engineer, has been missing since May 29, 2016. He was last seen in Steinhatchee, Florida, while on a boating trip. His intended route was between Steinhatchee and Cedar Key. After he was reported missing, an extensive search was initiated, but there has been no trace of him since.
Viola's boat was eventually located, but he was not with the vessel. Despite extensive search and rescue efforts, he was never found.
