On August 15, 2016, 48-year-old Mitchell Timothy Szegi went missing from Dixie County, Florida. An avid fisherman from Ocala, Szegi departed from Horseshoe Beach at approximately 12:00 p.m. in his 22-foot fishing boat. The United States Coast Guard initiated an extensive search for Szegi, covering a vast area of over 10,060 square miles.
