Jennifer Scott-Brown, a 58-year-old woman, has been missing since May 4, 2012, when she was last seen in the 900 block of Northeast 172nd Street in Miami, Florida. She reportedly walked away from the residence where a neighbor had provided her with a free place to stay for the preceding seven months. Scott-Brown left all of her personal belongings behind, and since her disappearance, all calls to her cellphone have gone directly to voicemail.
At the time she vanished, Scott-Brown was known to panhandle at various synagogues and kosher supermarkets. She was also a frequent patron of casinos and utilized public transportation to get around. Her common destinations included Miami Beach, Aventura, and the Golden Glades area in Miami Gardens. Scott-Brown is described as a white female, 5'6" tall and weighing 230 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes. She requires glasses and uses a cane to walk. When last seen, she was carrying a black backpack. It is also noted that she suffers from an unspecified mental illness.
Few details have been made available in her case, which is being handled by the Miami-Dade Police Department. There was a possible sighting of a woman matching Scott-Brown's description on camera in the city of Aventura on October 2, 2013. Despite this lead, her case remains unresolved, and she is still considered a missing person.
