On the evening of May 4, 2020, at around 7:00 PM, Mugdho was seen fishing from his green Sun Dolphin kayak southwest of the Pensacola Beach Pier.
He was not wearing a life jacket and had three fishing poles with him. Later that night, at approximately 10:00 PM, his kayak was discovered washed ashore upside down at Beach Access #26B. Two fishing poles were still tied to the side of the kayak, and his paddle was found on the beach behind Calle Hermosa.
