Sheena Dayle Johnson, a 21-year-old woman, was last seen on the afternoon of September 8, 2006, in Jacksonville, Florida. She had walked to the McDuff Food Mart, a convenience store located a few blocks from her family's home on Mackinaw Street, to purchase a cigar. Johnson spoke with her mother and told her she would be home shortly, but she never returned. She has not been seen or heard from since that day.
Three days after she was last seen, on September 11, 2006, her family reported her as a missing person. Johnson's cell phone was turned off, which her loved ones found uncharacteristic of her behavior. At the time of her disappearance, Johnson was unemployed.
According to her family, it was out of character for Johnson to leave without warning, and she had no known enemies or history of mental illness. Initially, law enforcement did not suspect foul play in her disappearance. However, due to the extended period of time with no contact from Johnson, authorities are now considering the possibility that she may have met with foul play.
