Mary Carol Hill Fredrick, a 37-year-old law student and child advocate, vanished from her home in the Seminole Heights neighborhood of Tampa, Florida on June 3, 1994. At the time of her disappearance, her husband and young son were on a camping trip in the western United States. Fredrick was reported missing by her husband on June 6, 1994, after she failed to make her customary weekly call to her sister and could not be reached.
