Gwendolyn Carswell, a 44-year-old devoted mother, vanished from Washington D.C. on August 12, 2004. She was last seen near her home in the Brookland neighborhood, specifically in the 2600 block of 18th Street Northeast and Otis Street Northeast. On the day of her disappearance, Carswell informed her mother that she was attending a party but never came back and has not been heard from since.
