Victor Gabriel Trejo, a 25-year-old Hispanic male, has been missing since October 2017 from Bakersfield, California. He was last seen at an apartment complex near Ming Avenue and New Stine Road in the early morning hours of October 21, 2017, where he was visiting a friend. Trejo was described as being 5'6" tall and weighing 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and brown shoes.
Five days after he was last seen, Trejo's car was discovered abandoned in south Bakersfield. Since his disappearance, he has had no contact with family or friends. The circumstances surrounding his case have led investigators to believe that he was the victim of foul play and was murdered. Although his body has not been found, the Bakersfield Police Department is treating his case as a homicide.
Authorities have identified Julio Lara as a person of interest in connection with Trejo's disappearance. Investigators are seeking to question Lara, who is also wanted on an active arrest warrant for charges of kidnapping to commit robbery, assault with a firearm, and robbery.
