In the fall of 2022, concern began to grow for 58-year-old Jean Marie McSpadden in New Iberia, Louisiana. Her family's last contact with her was in mid-November of that year. At the time, she was living in the 2600 block of Railroad Road. As time passed without any word, her family grew increasingly worried, eventually leading them to report her missing. The official report was filed on January 6, 2023, prompting an investigation by the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office.
