Veronica Rivas, a 34-year-old Hispanic female, was last seen on June 8, 2010. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being 5'1" tall and weighing approximately 190 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She has several distinctive tattoos, including the names "Kathy" and "Sandy" on her left wrist, "Jose" on her left forearm, and "Arturo" on her chest. The Visalia Police Department is the investigating agency in her case.

There are conflicting accounts regarding the specific circumstances of Veronica Rivas's disappearance. One version, cited by the Charley Project and the California Attorney General's Office, states that she was last seen in Visalia, California. This narrative offers few additional details about the events leading to her disappearance, and she has not been heard from since that day.

A different and more detailed account of her disappearance has been reported by other online sources. According to this version, Rivas had been deported to Mexico. She was reportedly one of a group of approximately 20 people attempting to cross back into the United States through the desert. The group is said to have been near Tucson, Arizona, when Rivas became separated and was the only one who did not complete the journey. This account also notes additional tattoos, including "Toker" on her ankle and "Gustavo" on her upper left back. It is unclear why the Visalia Police Department is the primary investigating agency if she went missing from the Tucson area.
