Pepper Reed was 23 years old when she was last seen by her family in Houston, Texas, between December 12 and December 18, 1975. During this time, she introduced her mother and brother to her new boyfriend, Terry Rasmussen, and informed them that she was pregnant with his child. Her family last spoke with her in December 1975. After the Christmas holiday, Reed and Rasmussen reportedly moved to Anaheim, California.
