On June 23, 2017, 35-year-old Nicholas Deloss Marold of Arroyo Grande, California, was reported missing after he fell overboard from an inflatable fishing vessel approximately three miles off the coast of Port San Luis in San Luis Obispo County. Marold was on the boat with a friend when the incident occurred around 11:50 a.m. At the time of his disappearance, he was wearing black swimming trunks and a black long-sleeve shirt.
