Cory Keith Kelley-Armer, a 37-year-old father of three, was last seen in Atascadero, California, in April 2020. He had been released from jail in the middle of that month and was last seen at a friend's house in Atascadero. The last time his family had contact with him was at the end of April 2020, when he was with his mother in Atascadero. Although he was known to lead a transient lifestyle and did not have a cell phone, he was in regular contact with his family, particularly his mother, with whom he would speak at least weekly.

It was not until August 11, 2020, that Kelley-Armer was officially reported as a missing person by his family. The delay in reporting was due to his transient lifestyle; however, his family grew concerned after he uncharacteristically missed two of his children's birthdays. His family emphasized that it was highly out of character for him to be out of touch for such an extended period, especially as he was close to his three children. This prolonged silence led the Atascadero Police Department to consider his disappearance suspicious.

At the time of his disappearance, Kelley-Armer was described as a 38-year-old white male, 6 feet tall, weighing between 175 and 200 pounds, with blond/brown hair and brown/hazel eyes. He has numerous tattoos, including sleeves on his arms, two tattoos on his chest, a woodpecker on his right arm, nude women on his abdomen, and the word "Rebel" on his back. He also has a broken front tooth.

The Atascadero Police Department, with assistance from the San Luis Obispo County District Attorney's Bureau of Investigation, has conducted an extensive investigation into Kelley-Armer's disappearance. They have followed up on various leads, but as of August 2021, none had led to his location or explained the reason for his disappearance. Kelley-Armer was known to frequently travel between San Miguel and Santa Margarita. His case remains an unsolved and active missing person investigation.
